A Little About Me
I’ve always been someone who notices the light.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I was surrounded by a kind of landscape that doesn’t ask for much — it just asks that you look. Mountains that rise out of fog before breakfast and disappear again by noon. Coastlines that feel ancient and a little wild. Forests that go quiet in a way that follows you home. I fell in love with all of it long before I picked up a camera.
I fell in love with photography more than thirty years ago, in a college darkroom that smelled of fixer and possibility. Back then, photography meant patience of a different kind — carefully exposing a sheet of paper under the enlarger, watching an image slowly appear in the developer tray, adjusting the contrast by fractions until it was exactly right. There were no second chances, no instant previews. You had to slow down, pay attention, and trust your eye. That foundation has shaped everything I do.

The tools have changed, but the instinct hasn’t. I still believe that a great photograph is made before you ever press the shutter — in the choosing of the light, the composition, the willingness to wait. Photography gave me a reason to get up at 3 a.m. and drive to a trailhead in the dark. A reason to stand in the cold and wait for the sun to climb above the ridge. A way to say: this moment mattered. I was here, and it was beautiful, and I didn’t want to leave.
My work is rooted in the Pacific Northwest — Washington State, the Oregon coast, the mountain ranges and river valleys that make this corner of the world so quietly spectacular. I photograph landscapes with natural light, minimal processing, and a lot of patience. I’m not chasing dramatic edits or impossible skies. I’m looking for the real thing: a scene that stopped me in my tracks and made me reach for my camera.
My prints are made for people who feel that same pull toward the natural world — who want a piece of the Pacific Northwest on their wall, or who simply want a photograph that makes a room feel more like a place worth being.
If one of these images speaks to you, I hope you’ll take it home.
How My Prints Are Made
Every print in my shop is produced with careful attention to color accuracy, detail, and longevity. I work with professional print-on-demand partners who specialize in fine art and photographic reproduction — so whether you choose a fine art paper print, a canvas wrap, or a metal print, you’re getting something made to last.
I review and approve color profiles for every image I offer, so the print you receive reflects what I saw through the lens — not a washed-out approximation of it.
